1/16 Size Fractional Size Violin Franz Hoffmann Prelude Model with Wood Bow Case
Charming tiny fractional size violin with case and bow. The 1/16 size violin is typically used for young students as young as 3 and 4 years old (who often begin this early using the Suzuki Method).
This Franz Hoffmann Prelude violin was purchased used in 2015 and has been very lightly used over the past several years. There are some minor surface scratches and wear around the edges but it plays well for such a small instrument.
The instrument body (not including the neck) measures 8.5 inches and total length (top of scroll to end-button) is 13.75 inches. The label says 1/32 but according to MENC measurements, it is a 1/16 size.
The fractional sized wooden bow measures 14.5 inches tip to screw.
Older-style shaped case has a cheerful yellow plush interior, a small accessory pocket and two bow holders. Three buckles for secure closure.
