Arizona artist Jack Black lived and worked in Tucson Arizona. He was born in Galveston Texas and attended the Institute of Design in Chicago. He spent 20 years creating sculptures for his own enjoyment before opening a studio in Sedona, AZ in 1984. Jack Blacks work is a tribute to the culture and beauty of the Southwest. His sculpture is characterized by graceful lines and simplicity of form. The glazed surfaces are smooth to the eye as well as to the touch, and the understated detail creates a feeling of timelessness. His distinctive choice of colors brings to mind the blue sky, canyons, and vistas of Arizona and the Southwest. 4.5" & 7.5" tall.
